Here’s what some of our recent guests have had to say:
We did a bicycle trip just before May long weekend mainly to check out the facilities for summer camping. We returned this past weekend - June 7 to 9 '15. The sites are awesome - huge, private if needed, all wooded. EXCELLENT AMENITIES including amazing swimming lake (private beach, docks and boat launch), super clean showers and flush toilets, numerous toilets throughout the site, an office/store with anything a camper needs. STAFF IS SUPER FREINDLY! Great rates from $29 with off season and extended stay discounts. Can't wait to go back. Don M
Room Tip: Tour the site with map provided at office to find "your" site.

Stayed June 2015, travelled as a couple
We have camped at Brannen Lake for the past 3 summers. It's the only place we camp now! With two teenagers and a handful of their friends in tow, the lake is the best place to relax on the boat and entertain the group. The staff is extremely friendly, the sites are awesome, flush toilets and Sunday breakfast what more can you ask for! OH I know... the low monthly rate. Can't wait for July 1st!
Large sites well laid out and separated by natural vegetation. A beautiful setting. Very quiet at night. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
No exaggeration, this is by far the best campground I have ever stayed in. Far superior to any government site. We camped in spot 38D. Super private and quiet, although all the sites looked nice. The amenities were great, flush toilets, showers and even the outhouses were clean. The playground was great and the Saturday night hayride is a hoot. The store has everything you may have forgotten and little things you just may want like ice cream and glo sticks.
The lake is a little far but walkable or there is lots of parking at the lake. A great swimming lake with a gentle beach for kids or docks to jump off of. Even a floating dock. The water seemed quite clean.
Every staff interaction we had was great, and you really get the overall feeling that they want you to have a great time and it is more than just a money making place, but that they actually care.
I highly recommend.
Our family camped here in July. We rented a 30-foot travel trailer with full hookups. I found the site to be very quiet and a delightful mix of full services with still lots of trees. Many private sites have you side by side on concrete with no privacy. Here, we had a nice, long site with tree cover and within a minute to the office and washrooms.
The map for the site isn't to scale. We walked to the lake once - although you can certainly do it. There is plenty of parking at the lake, so we ended up driving. It was about a 5-minute drive from our site to the lake.
The beach access is private and has nice sand and shade. The times we enjoyed it, we had a range of the beach to ourselves, to a mix of families. There is a dock and boat launch, and many people were enjoying tubing or water skiing. I've heard the lake is stocked with trout as well for people who like to fish.
We rented a propane fire bowl (you can rent them at the office) as there is a campfire ban in effect due to dry, hot conditions. It was great to roast marsh mellows over.
As our trailer had a shower, I didn't use the coin operated one in the main bathroom, but I heard the water was good and hot. The facilities are very clean and it is a lovely campsite.
The site is about 8-minutes from shopping, restaurants and services.
There is free wifi available at the main office. We stayed in site 14A and had access to the wifi occasionally.
Room Tip: We stayed in site 14A with a 30-foot travel trailer; it seemed to be a sought after location.
